The land becomes arid and replete with spectacular geological formations and deep green valleys, such as the Ziz Valley. We will begin to see the typical architecture of adobe, palm trees, some distant Kasbahs … we are at the doors of the desert. We are already in the desert! After a copious and rich breakfast, we will go around the Erg Chebbi, an expanse of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, of more than 250 meters of altitude, and we will connect by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar and with the mountains that border with Algeria in the background.
Stop at the oasis of Tissardmin and continue route to a nomadic settlement where we will know some of the secrets of his life and customs. Later stop at a panoramic point where we can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. We will arrive at the village of Khamlia, originally from Mali, where we will relax with a tea while we enjoy a small concert of spiritual music from Gnawa. Return to the lodge, lunch and at around 4:00 p.m. we will depart in a caravan of camels towards the Haimas camp (approximately 1h) and, before arriving, we will be able to enjoy the sunset and stretch our legs a little before arriving at the beaches. haimas
On arrival at the camp they will offer us a Hospitality tea, as is customary, and before dinner we will take the opportunity to go up to the great dune or simply to those near the camp and enjoy the peace and silence that the moment and the place offers us. We will sleep in the Haima under a blanket of stars in the heart of the desert.
We woke up before dawn to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, we go up to see the Gorges from the top and back towards the Dades Valley and when we arrive at the Kasbah of Aït Youl where we turn right onto a track that allows us to admire wild and less known landscapes, there we will visit a family who lives in caves still in the Vallé de Boutagrar, we continue through the Vallé de las Rosas to reunite Kelaa M ‘gouna. Lunch in the village, then continuation to the palm grove of Skoura, to arrive later to Ouarzazate.
